Jared joined the e.ventures San Francisco office in 2020. He focuses on identifying and evaluating later-stage growth equity investments across enterprise software, consumer internet and fintech businesses globally.
Prior to joining e.ventures, Jared was at TPG, helping identify global private and growth equity investments across the enterprise software and healthcare spaces. Within the portfolio, he also partnered closely with founders and management teams on cross-functional projects across ops, sales, strategy, fundraising and strategic finance.
Prior to TPG, Jared was at Morgan Stanley in New York, providing IPO and M&A advice to investment banking clients across high-growth direct-to-consumer / tech-enabled brands as well as the food, beverage and alcohol spaces.
Jared’s family emigrated to the U.S. from Peru in 1980 and he grew up in the New York metro area. He is a longtime supporter of organizations like Seizing Every Opportunity (SEO) that seek to increase equity of educational and professional opportunity for high-performing, traditionally underrepresented young people and currently serves on SEO’s San Francisco Leadership Council. He also serves as a board member of Swords to Plowshares, an organization that re-invests in the veteran community by providing essential employment and residential services to military vets in the Bay Area.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he earned a B.S. in Business & Political Economy and a minor in Public Policy. Jared has spent two years living in London and Shanghai, speaks some Mandarin and Spanish and is a huge aircraft nerd, defense policy geek and aspiring chef of all cuisines (when he’s not accidentally burning the eggs).
